Hugh R. Curran received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross in 1984 and was awarded the degree of Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 1988.
Prior to join Bletzer & Bletzer, PC, Hugh was a Partner at Bonner Kiernan Trebach & Crociata. From 1996 through 2007 Mr. Curran counseled clients and defended matters involving insurance defense, general and products liability, professional malpractice, civil rights, employment, white collar criminal and business litigation matters. He has defended numerous cases involving allegations for wrongful death, civil rights, discrimination and employer liability. He has had numerous trials, arbitrations, and automobile claims resolved with favorable settlements and verdicts including personal injuries, civil rights and wrongful death cases for Arbella Mutual Insurance Company, George Weston Bakeries, Starbucks Corporation, Safeco, City of Boston and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
From 1988 through 1996 Hugh had a successful career as an Assistant District Attorney in the office of the Suffolk County District Attorney from 1988 to 1996. While at the District Attorney’s office, Mr. Curran handled many high profile cases and coordinated a Clinical Prosecutor’s Program with Suffolk University Law School. Mr. Curran’s trial experience as a prosecutor included the prosecution of many homicides, major felonies, and white collar crime cases.
Mr. Curran joined Bletzer & Bletzer, PC as a partner in January 2008. Mr. Curran will continue his practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts State and Federal Courts in civil and criminal litigation.
